Our Goal

“The Society Mobile – La Habana is the official sister city organization between Mobile, Alabama and Havana, Cuba. The Society is an Alabama non profit corporation incorporated in 1993.  The purpose of the society is to promote the interchange of arts, culture and educational activities between the cities.  Exemplar activities include sponsoring art exhibitions, presenting speakers at society events and local colleges, sponsoring production of films on the historical ties between Mobile and Havana, the origins of Cuban baseball in Mobile, holding social events featuring Cuban music and musicians, trips, etc. “
